Snakes are such polarizing creatures. For many, they are symbols of fear and unease; for others (like myself), they inspire admiration and awe. I've always found snakes to be fascinating and beautiful: graceful, calming, and inspiring.
In nearly every ancient culture, snakes and serpents symbolize spirit, the divine, enlightenment, creative life force, and the power of transformation. Personally, I've always loved the wisdom and knowledge they represent. Knowledge is the possession of facts, while wisdom is the ability to discern how to use them. Knowledge separates; wisdom connects.
